GOLFARI ELIGIBILITY

The Golfari is open to any girl or boy age 10-17.

DAILY SCHEDULE

Reveille	7:30 a.m.
Breakfast	8:00 a.m.
Room Duties	8:30 a.m.
Golf Instruction	9:00 - 12:00 noon
Swimming	12:00 - 1:00 p.m.
Lunch	1:00 - 1:30 p.m.
Rest Period	1:30 - 2:30 p.m. (Ages 10-13)
Play Golf or Additional Instruction	2:30 - 6:00 p.m.
Alternate Activities	4:00 - 6:00 p.m. (Tennis or Swim)
Dinner	7:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Evening Program; Team Competition	8:00 - 9:00 p.m.
Late Swim, Tennis or Games	9:00 - 10:00 p.m.
Late Snack	10:00 p.m. To Bed

Highly skilled staff members are on duty during the hours for alternate activities to
offer instruction. Individual and team competition will be held in various activities daily.

MISCELLANEOUS

MEDICAL BLANKS: Each child is required to have the enclosed statement from an examining physician certifying that he or she may take part in a full program of activities.

Space cannot be confirmed until this certification is completed and received by Pine Needles along with the application.

HEALTH SERVICES: Medical services are available at all times at Moore Regional Hospital. Doctor, prescriptions or hospital charges, if such, will be billed at the conclusion of camp. A camp nurse will be on duty 24 hours a day.

GOLF SHOES: Pine Needles is a non-metal spike facility. Any soft soled shoes may be worn on the golf course. A change-out station is provided in our golf shop for conversion to plastic spikes.

MISCELLANEOUS EXPENSES: A limit of $75.00 is recommended for the session, refreshments and sundry items. Please state child’s limit on application and Pine Needles will bill your credit card at the end of camp.

LAUNDRY: Name tags must be on all clothing. Bedding and towels will be furnished by Pine Needles free of charge. Please pack enough clothing so that laundry services will not be needed.

LODGING & MEALS

Room and three meals daily, unlimited golf, range balls, and instruction will be provided at Pine Needles Lodge & Golf Club. Campers will be housed in luxurious resort accommodations.
Campers are assigned roommates based on age.
PGA staff instructors and counselors provide 24-hour supervision.
Each camper will receive a Pine Needles tee shirt, Golfari instruction packet, and camp picture which includes Pine Needles Touring Pro, Pat McGowan and Camp Director, Peggy Kirk Bell.

ATTIRE AND WHAT TO BRING: Casual clothes will be needed for participants in sports. Golf clubs, tennis rackets, bathing suit, alarm clock should be provided by individuals. We suggest each camper bring a lightweight canvas golf bag, as campers will not be permitted to ride electric golf carts.

CAMP BEGINS: Saturday, July 3, 1999, or Saturday, July 10, 1999. Campers should arrive between 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Air arrivals should arrive no later than 5:00 p.m. at the Pinehurst/Southern Pines Airport.

CAMP ENDS: Saturday, July 10, 1999, or Saturday, July 17, 1999. Children may be picked up anytime between 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Air flights may be scheduled for departure time convenient to parents on July 6 as our competent counselors will make sure children are boarded on proper flight at Pinehurst/Southern Pines Airport.

SPECIAL NOTE: Please make sure the enclosed health form is filled out completely and returned to Pine Needles.

Parents are invited to enjoy lunch and a round of golf with their children on arrival or departure day free of charge.
